What's the best way to get the most out of PercenX?

Think of PercenX as a math workspace rather than simply a place to get answers.

First, try the problem yourself. Then use PercenX to solve or check it, review the explanation carefully, and identify where your reasoning matches or differs from the solution.

If you don't understand something, ask a follow-up question. You can ask PercenX to explain a step in more detail, simplify an explanation, show another way to solve the problem, explain why a particular formula or method was used, or help you understand where your own solution went wrong.

Keep asking follow-up questions as needed, subject to your plan's usage limits. For example:

  • “Can you explain Step 3 in more detail?”

  • “Why did you use this formula?”

  • “Can you explain that in a simpler way?”

  • “Can you show me another way to solve this?”

  • “Where did I go wrong?”

  • “Can you give me a similar problem to practice?”

Save important problems to your Notebook, use Favorites for problems and concepts you want to revisit, organize related work with Tags, and add Notes about anything you want to remember.

Most importantly, focus on understanding the reasoning—not just the final answer. Use the solution and follow-up questions together to work through anything that isn't clear.

PercenX is most valuable when it helps you understand today's problem well enough to solve tomorrow's problem on your own.
