How do I solve a problem in PercenX?

From the main Solve screen, enter your math problem and submit it.

PercenX will analyze the problem and provide a solution with explanatory steps when appropriate.

You can enter anything from a simple calculation such as:

18% of 450

to an equation such as:

3x + 7 = 25

or a more detailed math problem.

After reviewing the solution, you can ask a follow-up question if you want to understand something better. Ask PercenX to explain a step in more detail, clarify why a particular method was used, show another way to solve the problem, or help you understand where your own work went wrong.

For example, you might ask:

• “Can you explain Step 2 in more detail?”

• “Why did you use this formula?”

• “Can you show me another way to solve this?”

• “Where did I go wrong?”

• “Can you give me a similar problem to practice?”

You can continue asking follow-up questions as needed, subject to your plan's usage limits, so you can explore the solution until the reasoning makes sense.

Tip: The more clearly you enter the original problem, the better PercenX can understand what you're trying to solve. And when a solution isn't clear, don't stop at the answer—ask a follow-up question.
